The Academic Cohort allows anyone interested in ministry to gain the Biblical and theological foundations for serving in lay ministry in an inner city church. This program includes the online course of Grimké College as well as experience with NEU Church Planting in the inner city.

- BIBL 510: Introduction to the Old Testament
- BIBL 520: Introduction to the New Testament
- BIBL 530: Basics of Biblical Interpretation
- CHIS 510: Survey of Church History Participate in online cohort discussions with Haynes staff
- Participate in in-person exposure to urban ministry through Haynes
